Amitabh Bachchan sells Oshiwara apartment for Rs 83 crore, three years after purchasing it for Rs 31 crore He sold his duplex apartment in The Atlantis, a residential project by Crystal Group in Oshiwara, for a staggering Rs 83 crore.
According to Indian media, the property, spanning 1.55 acres, includes apartments with 4, 5, and 6 BHK configurations. According to NDTV, the transaction was confirmed through property registration documents.

Based on an analysis of IGR registration papers by Square Yards, Bachchan made a 168% profit, having bought the apartment for Rs 31 crore in April 2021. The sale was finalized in January 2025.
Before selling the property, Bachchan rented it to actress Kriti Sanon in November 2021, who paid a monthly rent of Rs 10 lakh along with a security deposit of Rs 60 lakh. The apartment, with a built-up area of 5,704 square feet and a carpet area of 5,185 square feet, was one of Bachchan’s properties in Oshiwara.

In 2024, Bachchan and his family invested over Rs 100 crore in real estate, primarily in residential and commercial properties in Oshiwara and Magathane. In addition, Bachchan and his son, Abhishek, purchased 10 apartments worth Rs 24.95 crore in Mumbai’s Mulund area.

The Bachchan family’s net worth is reportedly Rs 1,600 crore, according to Hurun India. Besides the apartments, they own five bungalows in Mumbai, including Jalsa, Pratiksha, Vatsa, Janak, and a 8,000 square feet property behind Jalsa.
On the work front, Bachchan was last seen portraying Ashwatthama in the film Kalki: 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.
