The highly awaited second season of Bandish Bandits is set to return, with Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhry reprising their key roles. The trailer, released on Monday, teases a captivating story that weaves together love, ambition, and the pursuit of preserving a musical legacy.
The trailer hints at an emotional and musical journey, starting with the death of Naseeruddin Shah’s character, which sparks a series of events as his family works to protect his musical heritage. The show continues to follow musicians Radhe and Tamanna, portrayed by Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhry, as they navigate their personal and professional lives.
Joining the cast this season is Divya Dutta as a teacher, while Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, Rajesh Tailang, and Kunaal Roy Kapur return in their roles. This season will explore broader themes like reality shows and gender dynamics in the music industry, with music still taking center stage.
Ritwik Bhowmik shared his excitement, saying, “Returning to Radhe’s world feels like coming home. This role has been a major learning experience for me, both as an actor and an individual. In this season, Radhe takes on the responsibility of preserving his family’s traditions in a modern world, all while managing his relationship with Tamanna.”
Shreya Chaudhry added, “Reconnecting with Tamanna has been like meeting an old friend. Her journey is about dreams, love, and legacy, reflecting many of our own experiences. It’s been a privilege to work with such a talented cast, and I hope this season inspires viewers to follow their passions.”
Creator and director Anand Tiwari reflected on the season, saying, “We’ve pushed the boundaries to create a story that feels both grounded and relatable. I’m grateful for the amazing team of actors and technicians, and I eagerly await the premiere of this much-anticipated season.”
Directed by Anand Tiwari, who co-wrote the series with Atmika Didwania and Karan Singh Tyagi, the second season of Bandish Bandits will release on Prime Video on December 13.
