BRISBANE: A warm up match between Pakistan and Afghanistan had to be called off due to rain. Earlier, Afghanistan had set Pakistan a target of 155 runs to win the T20 World Cup warm-up match which is being marred by intermittent rain.
After winning the toss, Pakistan put Afghanistan into bat first. Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi started bowling brilliantly against Afghanistan and managed to get 2 wickets of Afghanistan in the early overs.
Shaheen Shah got Afghan cricketer Rehmanullah Garbz lbw on the very first ball after which Shaheen managed to send Hazratullah Zazai to the pavilion for just 9 runs.
Haris Rauf managed to take Afghanistan’s third wicket of batsman Darosh, who was caught by Mohammad Nawaz for 7 runs, after which Mohammad Nawaz took Afghanistan’s fourth wicket and guided Najibullah to return after 6 runs.
On behalf of Afghanistan, Mohammad Nabi remained not out by scoring 51 runs off 37 balls.
