KARACHI: Hundreds of patients with symptoms of cough, fever, cold, flu, and chest congestion have been attending government hospitals in Karachi every day for the past few weeks. This viral infection is caused by adenoviruses, according to medical professionals.
Patients with ADV are visiting the hospital with symptoms of headache, chills, cough, cold, and fever, while the cases of diarrhoea have also increased.

“Diseases are increasing due to climate change and environmental pollution,” said Dr Qalb-e-Hasan, the Emergency Department in charge at the Civil Hospital.
