An unusual situation is being created in the country as the political circus is engulfed in flames. The game of thrones has begun and the nation is being pushed in the inferno. Ever since inception, Pakistan had a mischievous neighbour India that has been plotting internal and external conspiracies to destroy our beloved homeland.
Prime Minister Imran Khan delivered a resounding speech at the United Nations and highlighted the Kashmir issue. Ever since then, India has started raising eyebrows and has deployed various underhand tactics to defame Pakistan. It is also responsible for numerous ceasefire violations along the volatile border regions and is behind subversive activities in Balochistan and tribal areas.
The world has realised that India is behind the spate of terror activities in its neighbouring countries. India is unable to maintain peaceful relations along its borders – whether it’s Nepal, China or Pakistan. It finds a border dispute and engages in confrontation. Its main target is the Pakistan Army and our top-notch premier intelligence agency ISI, considered the best in the world. From Mumbai attacks to Pathankot incident, India has been dragging our military and levelling strong accusations against it.
Pakistan Army acted responsibly and showed its military prowess demonstrating that it is always prepared for war and ready give a befitting reply to any adventurism.
India has enhanced its ties with Israel and both countries are plotting conspiracies against Muslims. Pakistan was pressurized to recognize Israel but Imran Khan blatantly refused. Both countries are now utilizing our home-bred traitors and spreading an anti-Pakistan narrative.
Many politicians and federal ministers have claimed that Nawaz Sharif, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Mahmood Khan Achakzai are working for India and Israel and their main target is the Pakistan Army. Ever since he was deposed, Nawaz Sharif has been criticizing state institutions and is now openly maligning the army. He has been spreading this narrative ever since he was dismissed from power.
The 11-party opposition set up the Pakistan Democratic Movement, claiming to oust Imran Khan’s government. During their first power show in Gujranwala, Nawaz Sharif used harsh and derogatory language against the army chief and the military. The India press gave plenty of coverage as Bilawal, Maryam and JUI-F chief stood watching silently as the army was being maligned. It seemed as if Gujranwala was in India rather than Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif has followed in the footsteps of MQM founder, spewing venom against the army to appease India and Israel.
Nawaz Sharif’s narrative has raised questions over the opposition’s alliance. Now it will be a matter of time before PML-N activists will have to distance itself from the party supremo. Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid has claimed that Shehbaz Sharif will be the first to oppose this narrative and not spoil the prestige of the army.
The army has rendered numerous sacrifices and in the past few days over twenty security personnel were martyred. If Nawaz Sharif and PDM had realized, they would not raise such derogatory language against the army. The other parties will have to consider whether they want to take Nawaz Sharif’s narrative forward or their purpose is just to sit on the throne in this political circus.
No doubt the government has its weaknesses and inefficiencies but we should not forget the sacrifices of our army, which has thwarted all conspiracies of our enemies. The government should take swift action and give strict punishments to those maligning the army. We need effective laws and the judiciary needs to take decisive action as this Sicilian mafia will stoop to any level. Everyone including the PDM has the right to criticize others but they should consider those who are sacrificing their lives so that every Pakistani lives a peaceful life. The nation is proud of its valiant armed forces and looks toward it with pride and gratitude.
