LAHORE: Actress Vaneeza Sattar has expressed frustration over rumours circulating on social media about her alleged marriage to former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik, saying that some people spread baseless stories about celebrities simply to gain views and attract attention.
The actress shared a viral video clip on her Instagram Story and reacted to the rumours by writing, “Oh my God! Not again!”
Vaneeza said there were countless topics worth discussing, yet some people chose to spread fabricated stories about others merely to gain attention and increase their online views.
This is not the first time the actress has addressed rumours linking her to Shoaib Malik. During previous television appearances, she clarified that she had never met the former cricketer in person. She also questioned how the rumours originated and what lay behind them.
According to Vaneeza , she initially dismissed the rumours as a joke. However, the situation became distressing when her friends and relatives began contacting her family to verify whether the reports were true.
The actress has urged social media users to refrain from circulating unverified information about celebrities’ private lives. She emphasised the importance of verifying news before sharing it to help prevent the spread of misinformation.
