Dollar at Rs277.90 in Open Market as Fresh Currency Rates Take Centre Stage

KARACHI: The US dollar remained close to the Rs278 mark in Pakistan’s open market as fresh foreign exchange rates were released on Monday, October 5, 2026. The dollar was quoted at Rs277.90 for buying and Rs278.10 for selling, while the latest interbank rates put the greenback at Rs277.00 for bank buying and Rs277.50 under the TT Clean rate.

According to the latest forex market data, the euro was being bought at Rs312.48 and sold at Rs319.10 in the open market. The British pound was quoted at Rs366.98 for buying and Rs372.73 for selling.

The Saudi riyal stood at Rs74.05 for buying and Rs74.60 for selling, while the UAE dirham was quoted at Rs75.75 for buying and Rs76.60 for selling in the open market.

Meanwhile, the Australian dollar was available at Rs192.22 for buying and Rs198.05 for selling. The Canadian dollar stood at Rs193.93 for buying and Rs199.25 for selling, while the Chinese yuan was quoted at Rs38.30 for buying and Rs38.92 for selling.

The Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7342 for buying and Rs1.8339 for selling in the open market.

Interbank Exchange Rates
In the interbank market, the euro was quoted at Rs311.72 for bank buying and Rs312.29 for bank selling, while the British pound stood at Rs365.94 for buying and Rs366.60 for selling.

The Saudi riyal was quoted at Rs73.74 for bank buying and Rs73.87 for bank selling.

The Australian dollar stood at Rs192.12 for bank buying and Rs192.47 for bank selling, while the Canadian dollar was quoted at Rs194.91 for buying and Rs195.26 for selling.

The Chinese yuan stood at Rs41.31 for bank buying and Rs41.39 for bank selling. The Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7544 for buying and Rs1.7575 for selling.

The Singapore dollar was quoted at Rs216.50 for buying and Rs216.89 for selling, while the Swiss franc stood at Rs334.00 for buying and Rs334.61 for selling.

The Hong Kong dollar was quoted at Rs35.30 for buying and Rs35.37 for selling. The Swedish krona stood at Rs27.71 for buying and Rs27.76 for selling, while the Thai baht was quoted at Rs8.25 for buying and Rs8.27 for selling.

The Danish krone was quoted at Rs41.99 for bank buying and Rs42.06 for bank selling.
