ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has filed a bail petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC) in LNG reference today (Saturday).
PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s counsel Barrister Zafarullah Khan filed the petition.
A copy of the court decision of bail granted to Shaikh Imran ul Haq, a co-accused in the LNG case, has also been attached to the petition.
According to the plea, “The petitioner has been in NAB detention for 191 days and the motive of the NAB is to harass the petitioner.”
PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif had reportedly asked Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to seek bail.
