Yash has returned to the big screen with “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups,” a dark gangster action drama directed by Geetu Mohandas.
Released worldwide on August 26, 2026, this is Yash’s first major theatrical release in nearly four years after the success of the “KGF” franchise.
The movie also features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
As far as the plot goes, against the backdrop of post-independence Goa, “Toxic” follows a gangster navigating loyalty, violence with a subplot of morality and redemption.
Yash plays dual roles, including the feared gangster Raya and his estranged son Ticket. The story explores their complicated relationship as crime, family conflicts and personal ambitions eventually lead toward a violent confrontation.

Hit or flop at the box office?
Hard to say at this point in time, however, early box-office numbers suggest that “Toxic” has made a strong start, so, for a final hit-or-flop verdict, we will have to wait little longer.
Having said that, the movie reportedly crossed the opening-day India nett collection of “Dhurandhar” before noon, despite mixed-to-negative early reviews. Another live trade tracker had reported ₹103 crore in India nett collections, although figures were still being updated.
