KARACHI: The father of slain businessman and IBA student Mir Raza Ali has explicitly rejected the newly reconstituted medical board, refusing to allow the exhumation of the grave based on official judicial orders.

Speaking emotionally to reporters on site, Mir Hussain questioned the legitimacy and authenticity of the newly formed five-member board, which was secretly restructured overnight without taking the family into confidence.
Talking to the media, Mir Hussain emphasized that his family spent the entire previous day at court to receive the official judicial order regarding the exhumation procedure.
He asserted that the family will only abide by the original court-sanctioned notification detailing the multi-member board initially approved by the magistrate.
Lack of Consultation: The grieving father stated that the family was completely bypassed and not taken into confidence regarding the overnight changes.
Adherence to Original Order: Mir Hussain insisted that exhumation will only proceed strictly in accordance with the original judicial order issued by the court, rejecting any unannounced secondary notifications.

Suspicion of Cover-Up: He questioned the motives behind changing the panel under the cover of night, alleging that the sudden shift is an attempt to protect influential individuals involved in his son’s murder.
Stand Against Unannounced Exhumation
Mir Hussain firmly declared that he would not permit the newly appointed team to disturb his son’s grave, urging the media and the public to stand by the truth.
“We went to court, we stood there all day, and we received the official court order detailing the original panel,” Mir Hussain told reporters. “Who authenticated this new notification? We will not allow them to proceed under this altered setup. Someone powerful is being shielded.”
Case Background
Mir Raza Ali disappeared on July 28 after leaving his PECHS residence, and his decomposed body was recovered a day later in Gulistan-e-Jauhar with a gunshot wound to the chest.
While police initially leaned toward a suicide narrative citing crypto-trading losses, the family maintains he was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered.
The judicial magistrate had previously ordered the exhumation and a fresh post-mortem after Karachi Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed identified 14 major flaws in the initial post-mortem report.
With the family now blocking the altered medical board based on the original court directive, the exhumation process remains halted.
