A significant legal development has emerged following allegations of the abduction and rape of two foreign women in Lahore, with police registering a case against several suspects, including a relative of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
According to ARY News, a formal First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at Defence C Police Station following a complaint lodged by the two foreign nationals.
The FIR names five suspects, including Muhammad Raza Dar, who has been identified as the principal accused.
According to the complaint, one of the women is a Dutch national, while the other is from Venezuela.
The complainants allege that the suspects abducted them and demanded a substantial ransom in exchange for their release.
Police officials confirmed that an investigation has commenced following the registration of the case. They stated that the allegations are being thoroughly examined from all relevant angles, with investigators assessing the available evidence before proceeding with further legal action.
