The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in various parts of the country today, while rain is also expected in several areas of Punjab during the next 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places in Islamabad, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir today.
Meanwhile, the weather in Karachi and coastal areas of Sindh will remain partly cloudy, and light rain or drizzle is also expected in some places.
A spokesperson for the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that rain is expected in most districts of Punjab over the next 24 hours; however, the situation is being closely monitored.
According to the spokesperson, water flow in rivers at Tarbela, Kalabagh, Chashma, and Taunsa is currently normal. Furthermore, Tarbela Dam is 96% full, while Mangla Dam is 62% full.
Earlier, heavy rain in various areas of the federal capital, Islamabad, and Karachi had made the weather pleasant. The Meteorological Department had also forecasted rain on Tuesday.
Apart from Islamabad, light rain and drizzle occurred in different areas of Karachi at night before Tuesday, and since early morning, clouds had been hovering over various parts of Karachi, resulting in a decrease in the intensity of the weather.
