Earthquake tremors were felt in the Musa Khel district of Balochistan and surrounding areas, resulting in damage to houses and injuries to three people.
An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 struck Musa Khel district and surrounding areas, damaging houses and injuring three people due to the collapse of buildings.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake had a depth of 28 kilometers, and its epicenter was 56 kilometers northeast of Musa Khel.
Officials said that the assessment of the damage caused by the earthquake is ongoing, while the injured have been shifted to the hospital.
It should be noted that previously, 57 earthquakes have been recorded in Karachi since June 2. These tremors were felt in the areas of Malir, Saudabad, Landhi, Port Qasim, Shah Latif, Bhains Colony, Sherpao, and Quaidabad, and their intensity on the Richter scale was of minor nature.
Chief Meteorologist Amir Haider Laghari, while speaking to the media in Karachi, attributed the continuous earthquakes to unplanned construction, and said that there should be a special building authority for construction, especially in the fault line areas of Karachi.
