In the developing city of Lodhran, Punjab, the brothers who staged their sister’s disappearance turned out to be her murderers. Police have declared the alleged kidnapping of the woman, who went missing two years ago, as false and have arrested her three brothers.
According to details, a woman named Naseem Bibi went missing in Lodhran two years ago. Lodhran police stated that her brothers had killed her. The suspects have confessed to murdering their sister and have also pointed out the location of her body.
Lodhran police revealed that the accused buried the victim in a field. The woman’s remains, buried two years ago, have been recovered, proving that the claims of her disappearance were false. The suspects lured and killed their sister in the name of honor.
Police further stated that the woman had left home two years ago to marry of her own choice. When the brothers failed to find her, they took the matter to a local council (panchayat) and brought her back home. Later, they deceitfully murdered her. A case has been registered against the suspects.
Police have assured that legal action will be taken against the arrested suspects, and further investigation is underway. This incident is a grim example of the exploitation of women and the rising brutality in the name of honor across the country.
