To address the commuting challenges faced by students and employees traveling to the federal capital, a new electric bus service was launched on the Fatehjang-Islamabad route.
The service, designed to provide an affordable and eco-friendly travel option, was inaugurated at the Fatehjang bus terminal by Sardar Faizan Haider, son of the Punjab governor.
The event was attended by Assistant Commissioner Humaira Shah, PPP Attock chapter President Ashar Hayat Khan, and other party leaders.
During the inauguration, Mr. Haider emphasized that extending electric bus routes to Fatehjang and surrounding areas would alleviate travel difficulties, reduce traffic congestion, and lower carbon emissions.
He highlighted the initiative as a step toward a more sustainable and inclusive public transport system, aiming to enhance the quality of life for residents across the district.

Ashar Hayat Khan, President of the PPP Attock chapter, added that during discussions with Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa proposed expanding electric bus routes to improve connectivity between Fatehjang, Hassanabdal, and Islamabad.
This initiative not only promotes environmental sustainability but also ensures equitable access to modern transport facilities, fostering regional development and reducing disparities.
