Pakistan secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Men’s Junior Hockey Asia Cup after defeating Malaysia 4-1 in Oman on Sunday night.
Star player Sufiyan Khan delivered an exceptional performance, scoring a hat-trick to propel Pakistan into the semi-finals.
They will face Japan in the first semi-final on Tuesday at 5:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time. The second semi-final will see India take on Malaysia at 8:00 PM.
The tournament’s final is scheduled for Wednesday, the day after the semi-finals.
This victory not only marked Pakistan’s fourth consecutive win in the competition, giving them a perfect 12 points from four matches against China, Bangladesh, and Oman, but also secured their qualification for the 2025 Junior World Cup in India.
