The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced a 16-member squad for the second and third Tests against England.
Notable absences from the team include key players Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi, along with young pacer Naseem Shah and experienced wicketkeeper-batter Sarfaraz Ahmed.
These four players have been replaced by Haseebullah, Mehran Mumtaz, fast bowler Mohammad Ali, off-spinner Sajid Khan, and uncapped Kamran Ghulam. Noman Ali and Zahid Mehmood, who were originally part of the first Test squad but were later released, have also been reselected for the 16-player team.
Moreover, leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed is unavailable for the second Test as he continues to recover from dengue fever. The PCB confirmed that the same squad will be used for the third Test as well, scheduled to take place in Multan and Rawalpindi on October 15 and 24, respectively.
The second Test is set to run from October 15-19 at Multan Cricket Stadium.
