There are plenty of thrillers streaming on Netflix and ‘Suspect X’ aka ‘Jaan Jaan’ featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan is the online streaming platform’s newest edition.
Netflix’s newly released Hindi movie is based on the best-selling Japanese novel ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’. The movie was released on 21 September 2023 on Netflix and received mostly positive reviews, with particular praise directed towards the leading actors’ performances.
Plot
In this Hindi adoption, a single mother who lives in Kalimpong, tries to cover up the murder of her estranged husband with help from her neighbour.
Cast
Kareena Kapoor Khan plays the protagonist in the film, Maya D’Souza. She makes her streaming debut with this movie.
Jaideep Ahlawat plays the role of Naren Vyas, Maya’s mathematician neighbor and a creepy stalker.
Vijay plays the cop Karan, who shows up in Kalimpong looking for Maya’s missing husband.

Stream or skip?
The Hindi thriller was shot at mysterious and mist-shrouded locations which adds perfect flavours to the movie. Apart from that, the screenplay is brilliant and captivating.
It is a kind of film that certainly asks you to pay attention only for 20 minutes and after that, the film’s plot alone is strong enough to hypnotize you till the climax. Inshort, STREAM IT.
