A tow-tug pilot crashed a Boeing plane of PIA into a dock on Saturday during a parking procedure at Allama Iqbal International Airport.

A PIA spokeswoman announced that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and PIA have launched an investigation into the incident.
This is not the first time tug master’s carelessness resulted in an accident. In Sep, 2021, a Quetta bound Pakistan International Airline (PIA) plane encountered an accident at the Islamabad International Airport.
According to details, the incident occurred with an Airbus A320 owing to the alleged negligence of a tug master, resulting in damage caused to the wheel of the plane.
It emerged that during the pushback process, the connecting rod of the tug master broke down, resulting in infrastructural damage.
The PIA plane had to be grounded after the incident and passengers of the Quetta-bound flight were disembarked and shifted to the lounge of the Islamabad airport.
