ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has announced that the government has decided to arrest Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan if he fails to appear in court on March 13.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the Interior Minister siad that Imran Khan had been getting repeated reliefs from courts, but if he failed to appear on March 13, a date set by Islamabad High Court when it suspended arrest warrant of lower court on Tuesday, he would be arrested, adding that the IHC relief provided to Khan had no precedent in past. He further said that if the courts provide further relief (to Khan), questions would definitely be raised (about judiciary’s conduct).
He said Khan knew that there was nothing to defend in at least three cases against him.
Rana Sanaullah said ‘Fitna Khan’ was not ready to give up his ego and stubbornness, alleging that if Imran does not meet his logical end, the country will not proper. Sana said the PTI chief has plaster on his leg, he is ill too, but at the same time he is leading protests.
He alleged that Farah Gogi was the front person of Imran Khan and his wife, and she was sitting outside the country with billion of rupees.
Referring to section 144 imposed in Lahore, Rana Sanaullah said the caretaker government of Punjab introduced ban on rallies on reports submitted by ‘agencies’.
