T-20 World Cup: India sets target of 180 runs for Netherlands

India has set a target of 180 runs to win the Netherlands in the 23rd match of the ongoing World Cup Super 12 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

According to details, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. During the scheduled 20 overs, the Indian team scored 179 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were the highest run scorers.

The Indian team’s first wicket fell on 11 when opener KL Rahul has dismissed lbw by Netherlands bowler Paul on the fourth ball of the third over.

Later, the captain continued his responsible batting and scored 53 runs off 39 balls. Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 84 on the sixth ball of the 12th over by Colin Ackerman off Fred Klaasen. Later, Virat Kohli took over the responsibility of scoring.

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli played an unbeaten inning of 62 runs off 44 balls and played a prominent role in India’s 180-run target for the Netherlands. Surya Kumar Yadav who scored 51 runs off 25 balls was also the main player.
