Cyclone ‘Maha’ 675 kilometers away from Karachi

KARACHI: The cyclonic storm Maha developed in the Arabian Sea is currently about 1140 km away from southeast of Karachi.
According to the sources of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) the cyclone might intensify into a cyclonic storm (SCS) moved to Lakshadweep group of islands off to the southwestern coat of India.
At present, Pakistan’s coastal belt is safe from Cyclone Maha, added sources.

The sources also revealed that the tropical cyclone warning center of PMD is tracking and monitoring this tropical cyclone.
For cyclone Kyarr, the PMD sources said it is about 1160 km away from southwest of Karachi and 955 km away from the south of Gwadar.
Earlier on Thursday, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) stated that another cyclonic storm ‘Maha’ is building up in the Arabian Sea.

This development comes just after the threat of cyclonic storm Kyarr no longer raises over any of Pakistan’s coastal areas.
The Kyarr cyclone hit the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan. Water entered inside homes in Hub.
Seawater also created a hurdle for the residents of Baba Bhat Island and Bhatta Village. The lower Sindh and Makran are expected to receive rainfall from 29th to 30th October.
