A nine-year-old student allegedly died after being subjected to violence at a madrassa in the Kallar Syedan area of Rawalpindi, while the madrassa’s teacher reportedly fled the scene.
According to police, the child, identified as nine-year-old Muhammad Faizan, was originally from Bhakkar and was studying at a madrassa in the Nalla Muslimana village of Kallar Syedan.
Police said the child was taken to the district hospital after reportedly falling ill, and his parents were informed about his condition. However, the child died before his parents could reach the hospital.
The sources said the parents took the child’s body to their ancestral village. While preparing the body for burial, they allegedly found marks of violence on the child’s body.
The parents subsequently contacted the police, following which the child’s body was brought back to Kallar Syedan.
According to reports, Kallar Syedan police took the body into custody and conducted a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Meanwhile, the madrassa teacher, identified as Sanaullah, reportedly fled the scene. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the child’s death and the allegations of violence.
