The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a suspect in Rawalpindi for allegedly defrauding seven people of Rs3.2 million on the pretext of arranging work visas.
According to the FIA, its Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Rawalpindi conducted an operation and arrested the suspect, identified as Umar Raza Naeem.
The FIA said a case had been registered against the suspect in connection with the alleged work visa fraud, following which he was arrested.
According to the agency, investigations found that the suspect had collected Rs3.2 million from seven acquaintances of the complainant, allegedly promising to arrange work visas for them.

However, the suspect allegedly neither provided the promised visas nor returned the money he had received.
The FIA said further investigation into the case is ongoing.
