KARACHI: Three personnel of Shaheen Force are reported to have been arrested for killing a youth in Gulistan-e-Jauhar the other day.

According to details gathered by MM News, a young man was shot and killed by Shaheen Force personnel in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar, Noman Avenue, on Tuesday. The slain youth was identified as Amir.
Initially, local police reported that Shaheen Force ordered motorcycle riders to stop, but they disobeyed the order. Police claimed the motorcyclists fired at the police while trying to flee the area.
Police claimed that Shaheen Force personnel retaliated by killing the accused. Police further stated that they are investigating the deceased man’s criminal history.
The mother of the deceased, on the other hand, told media that the cops had “murdered” her son. She claimed that Amir and his brother worked at Fishery. She questioned how a man could rob someone when a girl is with him.

Later on, CCTV footages went viral after the incident contradicted police version, showing how Amir was brutally killed near his residential apartment.

Meanwhile, DIG East Muqaddas Haider said Shaheen Force personnel involved in the killing had been arrested and a case under relevant sections, including those of anti-terrorism, had also been registered against them.
