KARACHI: Former Balochistan senator Usman Khan Kakar was shifted to Karachi in a critical condition after suffering a brain haemorrhagem.

Kakar, who is also a leader of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), was brought to Karachi yesterday and is undergoing treatment at the Agha Khan Hospital.
A statement by his manager said that Usman Kakar’s “condition is relatively stable but he is still in Coma. The coming 48 hours are critical.” He requested to remember him in prayers.

The Sindh has also agreed to bear his medical expenses. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has issued a letter to Agha Khan Hospital for medical treatment of Usman Kakar.
Usman Kakar was referred to Karachi for treatment after suffering a brain haemorrhage. Thousands of party workers and social workers gathered in solidarity as he was being shifted to Karachi.
PkMAP Mahmood Khan Achakzai also reached the hospital to express his support. Abdul Rahim, Yousuf Kakar, Abdul Qahar and others also visited him in hospital.
Usman Kakar fell in his house on Thursday leading to a brain hemorrhage and was injured. He was admitted to a private hospital where he underwent surgery. Doctors placed him on a ventilator due to the severe head injury and trauma.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has a telephone conversation with Mahmood Khan Achakzai and inquired about the wellbeing of Usman Kakar and offered him treatment in Karachi.
Usman Khan is a political worker and human rights activist. He was a member of the Senate from March 2015 to 2021.
