A shocking incident in Okara has left the local community stunned after a mother allegedly stabbed her 10-year-old daughter to death with a knife following a dispute over preparing breakfast.
The young girl, identified as Aswa, was seriously injured in the incident and rushed to District Headquarters Hospital in Okara. However, she could not survive her injuries and was pronounced dead during treatment.
According to police, the incident took place in Chak 40 GD Rai Pur on the outskirts of Okara. The mother, identified as Bushra Bibi, had asked her 10-year-old daughter to prepare breakfast.
When the girl refused, the mother allegedly became angry and stabbed her with a knife.
Aswa sustained severe injuries and was immediately shifted to the district hospital for medical treatment. Despite efforts to save her life, the young girl succumbed to her injuries.
Police from Gogera Police Station reached the District Headquarters Hospital shortly after receiving information about the incident. The police took the girl’s body into custody and shifted it to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
