Woman poisons husband to death in Rahim Yar Khan

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A man was allegedly poisoned to death by his wife in Rahim Yar Khan’s Liaqatpur District.

The sister of the victim said that at around 6:00 am last month, a man named Muhammad Ajmal informed her on the phone that her brother Munir Ahmed had been killed and his body was lying in a nearby field.

She said that along with the police they immediately reached the spot and the body was taken to Liaquatpur Saddar police station.

The deceased’s sister further said after police legal formalities the body was sent to THQ hospital for postmortem. “But no post mortem report of our brother has been received yet nor an FIR has been registered against murder,” she added.

The deceased’s sister alleged that her brother was poisoned to death by his wife Ghulam Fatima for marrying another man.

She further alleged the case has been aggravated by the connivance of doctor and police, local SHOs and DSPs are not cooperating with us.

The heirs of the deceased said that they have been suffering for the last one month for seeking justice while the authorities have not paid attention to the case.

The family of the deceased has appealed IGP Punjab and Chief Minister Punjab Usman Bazdar to take the notice of murder and order to investigate the case on a merit basis.
