Netflix has renewed ‘Love on the Spectrum’ a fifth season, Variety exclusively reported, following the strong performance of its fourth season.
The docu-reality series, which chronicles the dating experiences of young adults on the autism spectrum, has received critical acclaim and multiple Emmy Awards over its run.
Season 3 of the show ranked in Netflix’s Global Top 10 for two consecutive weeks, demonstrating its growing popularity.

The series has also been recognized for its excellence in casting and production, winning Emmys for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program and Casting in 2025, along with additional awards in 2024 and 2022. The show also has two successful seasons of its Australian counterpart.

A notable cast change for the upcoming season is the departure of fan-favorite Connor Tomlinson, who appeared in Seasons 2 through 4.
Tomlinson announced in a statement that he will not return for Season 5, citing personal reasons: “I feel like three seasons is enough to tell my story and find love on my own time. I’ve chosen to pass the torch to the next person who can make it as big as me.” He added that he plans to pursue an acting career moving forward.
Casting for the fifth season is reportedly already underway. While Netflix has not confirmed an official release date, the new season is expected to premiere in late 2026 or early 2027.
