Luca Zidane… ring a bell? It should if you’re a football fan. He is he second son of French legend and arguably one of the greatest football players of all time Zinedine Zidane.
On June 17, 2026, the 28-year-old Luca Zidane followed in his father’s footsteps by appearing at the World Cup, although he would like to forget the night as he conceded 3 goals from his father’s greatest contemporaries Lionel Messi in Argentina win against Algeria in Kansas City.
Spanish Segunda División club Granada CF player is the latest member of the French legend, who inspired his country to the 1998 FIFA World Cup title, to play at the highest stage of the game.
Though he represented France at various youth levels and won the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, Luca didn’t follow his father path and chose to represent Algeria in September 2025. He qualified to represent the North African nation through his paternal grandparents.
