A woman identified as Anmol, commonly known by the alias “Pinky”, has recently come under the spotlight after her arrest in Karachi in connection with an alleged narcotics distribution network.
Law enforcement officials claim the suspect was involved in supplying drugs, including cocaine, crystal methamphetamine — commonly known as “ice” — and ecstasy to various parts of the city. Investigators reveal the network primarily operated in affluent neighbourhoods and targeted young consumers through discreet delivery methods and online communication channels.
According to police officials, the accused was detained during a raid conducted in Karachi’s Garden area, where authorities reportedly recovered narcotics, chemicals and other materials linked to drug distribution activities.
The case attracted widespread public attention after footage circulated on social media showing the suspect being presented before a court without handcuffs, prompting criticism and leading to an inquiry into police handling of the matter.
Investigators further claim that the name “Pinky” had become widely recognised within Karachi’s alleged underground drug trade, leading some media outlets to describe her as the city’s so-called “drug queen”.
Authorities maintain that investigations into the wider network are ongoing, while the allegations against the accused remain subject to judicial proceedings. No court conviction has been announced at this stage.
