Famous writer and director Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has expressed that he was heartbroken by remarks once made by actress Mahira Khan against him.
Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, who recently appeared on a television show, spoke openly about controversial issues and Aurat March. During the show, revealed that Mahira Khan once tweeted against him during his drift with social activist Marvi Sarmad on a TV program.
The tweet made by Mahira Khan was in March 2020, where she asserted that she was shocked by the words uttered for Marvi Sarmad by Khalil-ur-Rehman. The actress wrote using the hashtag of the playwright’s name that he is the same person who is given one project after another after ridiculing women.

According to him, the tweet made by actress Mahira Khan against him was ‘inappropriate and shocking’. He also revealed that it would have been better if the actress had reacted to him on the phone.
“I was shattered by Mahira Khan’s tweet, she should call me on the phone, I could explain to her about my words”, the writer added. According to Qamar, he never intends to say wrong things, however, his words are misunderstood and misquoted.
He also revealed that he was not against ‘Aurat March’. “I am against the slogans of ‘Aurat March’ and I objected to these slogans because we live in the ‘Islamic Republic of Pakistan.”
