Following Iran’s retaliatory strikes against Israel on Saturday, a sense of satisfaction spread throughout the global Muslim community, and the general public expressed praise and support for Iranian actions. However, it is noteworthy that, apart from Afghanistan, no Muslim or Arab country, nor any non-Muslim nation, has officially or openly praised or supported Iran’s attack on Israel, despite widespread sentiments of solidarity within the Muslim community worldwide.
Afghanistan is the only country in the world that openly supported Iran’s attack on Israel. The Afghan Taliban has justified Iran’s attack on Israel, stating that the attack constitutes Iran’s legitimate defensive action. In a statement, the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs echoed this sentiment, asserting that Iran’s response to the attack on its consulate in Syria is justified.
Furthermore, Iran’s allied armed organizations in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen, such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Yemen’s Ansarullah Houthi, have openly welcomed Iran’s attacks. They have expressed solidarity with Iran and called for other Muslim countries to follow suit in confronting Israel.
After Iran’s retaliatory attack, Israel’s patron and allied countries, including the United States, Canada, Britain, France, and Germany, openly condemned Iran and labeled this retaliatory action as the reason for escalating tension in the region.
Among Iran’s traditional allies at the global level, Russia and China expressed mixed reactions.
Expressing concern over the growing war atmosphere in the region, China has linked this incident to the Gaza issue and stated that it is a continuation of Israel’s barbaric actions in Gaza.
In its reaction to the incident, Russia has advised the parties to exercise patience, while Turkey has also expressed concern over the risk of escalation of the war and advised the parties to restrain.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement voicing its concern at the “military escalation” and calling on “all parties to exercise utmost restraint and spare the region and its peoples from the dangers of war”.
In a statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed “its deep concern about the developments in the region”.
It called on “all parties to halt escalation, promote calm and exercise maximum restraint”.
It urged “the international community to take urgent action to defuse tension and de-escalate the situation in the region”.
In it reaction Pakistan also call on all parties to exercise utmost restraint.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim dubbed Iran’s attack as a “consequence of the Israeli government breaking international laws” by bombing the Iranian consulate on April 1.
He said the violence between the two regional rivals was not good for the world economy and peace.
India said it was seriously concerned at the escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran, which threatens the peace and security in the region.
Jordan Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh said any escalation in the region would lead to “dangerous paths” and said that there was a need to reduce escalation by all parties.
