Meta has added a new feature to WhatsApp that closely resembles a popular feature available on Facebook.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the latest iOS beta version of WhatsApp now includes a cover photo feature.
With this new profile enhancement, users will be able to add a cover photo above their profile picture, just like on Facebook.
To accommodate this, additional space has been created above the profile picture, where users can place a cover photo. A cover banner layout will appear directly above the profile picture as part of WhatsApp’s interface.
This update will make profiles appear more detailed and visually appealing, similar to the Facebook layout. Until now, the cover photo option was only available for business accounts, but it will now be accessible to individual users as well.
The process for adding a cover photo is similar to Facebook’s method. Users simply need to click on the designated cover photo area and select an image, which can be changed at any time.
The cover photo will remain active in profile settings and will be visible to anyone viewing the profile.
Recently, WhatsApp also rolled out other features for all users, including member tags, text stickers, and event reminders.
