The Punjab government, led by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), is preparing to initiate a program providing iPads and laptops to students across the province.
According to reports the detailed framework for the distribution of iPads and laptops will be finalized within the next three to four weeks, following Maryam Nawaz’s directive last month to commence a student survey for the scheme throughout Punjab.
On March 7, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz convened a meeting in Lahore to assess higher education scholarships and the iPad initiative. During the meeting, she instructed for a meticulous plan to be devised for the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF).
Emphasizing the importance of evaluating student usage, she noted that decisions regarding the distribution of iPads and laptops would be made accordingly. Additionally, she pledged to modernize higher education and other institutions.
The specific launch date for the government’s distribution of iPads and laptops to students will be announced in the coming month.
