The United Arab Emirates has introduced fresh prerequisites for family iqama, necessitating a minimum duration of stay and monthly earnings standards.
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship has unveiled new directives regarding the issuance of Iqama for family members of expatriates residing in the Emirates.
In order to be eligible for family residency, applicants must furnish evidence of a monthly income of no less than 3,000 dirhams, in addition to proof of domicile. Moreover, family members aged 18 years and above are mandated to undergo a medical examination at authorized healthcare facilities to secure a family Iqama.
Furthermore, if the kin of an Iqama holder are presently residing in the emirate under a temporary entry visa, they have the opportunity to convert their visitor visa to an Iqama, as per the directives laid out by the authorities. The conversion process to acquire an Iqama must be finalized within 60 days of their arrival in the UAE.
Additionally, applicants can submit their Iqama requests via the “e-channels” system or the official authority website, in accordance with the announcement.
