We call on international community to resolve Kashmir issue: FO

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson Ayesha Farooqui on Thursday said that Pakistan has reiterated its demand to the international community to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with international laws.
During a meeting with European missions, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the Kashmir issue was needed to be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions.
In a tweet, Farooqui wrote that Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and other European Heads of Missions highlighted continuing the lockdown in Indian occupied Kashmir.
“Blockade, media blackout and incarceration of Kashmiri leadership. Sensitized on Indian attempts to change the demographic structure in violation of the 4th Gevea Convention, she further wrote.

In another tweet, she wrote, “Foreign Secretary underscored the need for implementation of UNSC Resolutions. Also condemned targeted violence against Muslims and threats posed by anti-minority discriminatory policies of the BJP Government.”

Earlier today, the Indian troops conducted a search operation in the Indian occupied Kashmir today.
During a search operation, the Indian army arrested three people in the Kralpura area of the Kapwara district. The armed army alleged that action has been taken against the arrested people for working with the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.
