Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan has termed the US-Taliban peace agreement as a big diplomatic victory of Pakistan.
Talking to journalists in Rawalpindi today (Saturday), Ghulam Sarwar said that Pakistan was closely linked to the peace process that led the announcement of US-Taliban peace deal.
He said that Pakistan’s role in eliminating terrorism and peace processes in region was acknowledged at international forums.
He further said that US President Donald Trump lauded Pakistan’s effort against terrorism, adding that Pakistan has made huge sacrifices in war against terror.
Commenting on coronavirus, Sarwar assured that a comprehensive strategy has been worked out to cope with the deadly disease, adding that the government and all the concerned authorities were monitoring the screening system at airports.
The minister said that screening facilities with medical technicians had been provided at all international airports in Pakistan and all suspected passengers were properly checked by doctors.
