Pop singer and actor Umair Jaswal will be playing the role of cricketer Shoaib Akhtar in the upcoming biopic ‘Rawalpindi Express’.
The 47-year-old former right-arm pacer, who has a record-holder for bowling the fastest delivery — 161.3 kph — to be bowled in cricket’s history, has been referred to as Rawalpindi Express since the start of his career for his speedy bowling action.
In July this year, Shoaib Akhtar confirmed that a film will be made on his life, the shooting of which has started. Now, sharing the first look at the film on Twitter, Umair said that he is honored to play the living legend, Mr. Shoaib Akthar.
