Two arrested for bogus postings in Sindh Education Dept

GHOTI: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested two officers of the Education Department allegedly involved in bogus postings.
Sindh minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, who also heads the Enquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment, directed the authority to expedite action against corrupt officers and make the arrests.
A team of ACE Circle in Ghoti under Inspector Ayaz Memon conducted a raid and arrested the two officers involved in bogus postings and tampering with the official record.
Those arrested include Grade 18 Education Officer in Taluka Ubauro Allah Bachiyo Qazi, and former Taluka officer Allahwariyo Chachar. A case has been lodged against them while efforts are being made to arrest the third suspect named Akhtar Hussain.
They are accused of making forged documents for bogus appointments in the Education Department while receiving millions on the pretext of gaining employment.
The suspects had fake seals and letterhead documents of the department. They were also involved in receiving signatures from higher officers of the departments under false pretences.
Provincial minister Dharejo had earlier said that they were widening the scope and taking action against corrupt officers. He said they had received several complaints of corruption in Sindh and action was being taken against them.
He warned those involved in corrupt practices to end such activities and fulfill their duties honestly and diligently or else action will be taken against them.
