MIANWALI: A transgender person was killed by unidentified armed men near the Muslim Bazar area of Mianwali on Wednesday.
As per details, the transgender-identified as Arsalan was killed when a few men barged into his residence and opened fire on him. After killing the victim, the suspects fled from the area. Police arrived at the scene after they were informed about the murder.
The body has been shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital in Mianwali for medico-legal formalities. Police have started an investigation and are using a CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
On September 9, a transgender activist Gul Panra had shot dead in Peshawar. Gul Panra was reportedly shot six times. She was rushed to the hospital where she lost her life.
As soon as the news broke, netizens started showing outrage at the incident. They demanded that the killers should be dealt with stern hands.
Earlier in July, a transgender person was killed while another sustained bullet injury when a gunman stormed into their mansion located in the basement of a building in the main bazaar of Mohra Mando in Mandra.
The deceased had been identified as Abbas alias Kangna of Mandi Bahawaldin and the injured as Javed aka Ashi. The assailant identified as Sheery managed to escape after launching an armed attack on the building.
