Three killed in separate road mishaps in Karachi

KARACHI: Three people were killed in separate road accidents in different areas of the metropolis, rescue sources said.
A fast-moving dumper-truck collided with a motorcycle near Sohrab Goth on the Super Highway. As a result, a 35-year-old motorcyclist, Riaz Ahmed suffered severe injuries and died on spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Separately, two persons were killed when a speeding vehicle hit a motorbike in Landhi Block No-2. Police said an over-speeding bus hit the motorcycle and fled the scene.
however, later the police have seized the bus while its driver managed to escape from the scene after the accident. Police said one of the victims was an 18-year-old boy while the other was 22-year-old.
The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained yet. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for postmortem examination.

Rescue sources said four people lost their lives and 13 others sustained injuries when a bus collided with a tractor-trolley in the Chak Chatha area near Hafizabad. The bus was carrying wedding guests from Jokhiyan to Multan when it met the accident.

Rescue teams and police reached the spot and shifted the bodies and injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.
