QUETTA: At least three security personnel have been martyred and five injured in an attack by terrorists on Frontier Corps in the Turbat areas of Balochistan on Sunday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), three FC soldiers have embraced shahadat while five injured in the line of duty during two separate terrorist activities in Quetta and Turbat.
ISPR further said terrorists targeted FC troops deployed on security duties in Quetta and during an exchange of fire, three FC soldiers embraced shahadat while one got injured.
In another terrorist activity in Sherbandi, Turbat terrorists targeted soldiers patrolling along with Pak- Iran Border where four FC soldiers got injured. Those who got martyred include Lance Naik Syed Hussian Shah, Sepoy Faisal Mehmood and Sepoy Nauman ur Rehman.
Earlier, two terrorists were killed and a Pakistani soldier was martyred during a search operation conducted by the security forces in the MalikKhel area of North Waziristan.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted IBO on a terrorist hideout in MalikKhel, North Waziristan late last night. During intense exchange of fire two terrorists, including a terrorist commander Rehmat alias Khalid were killed.
The military’s media wing said that Havaldar Shehzad Raza was martyred during the exchange of fire with the terrorists.
The ISPR said that the terrorist commander, Rehmat alias Khalid, was an IED expert, involved in different terrorist activities against security forces, extortion, kidnapping for ransom and target killing since 2009 in the area.
“During the search operation, security forces recovered a huge cache of weapons,” added the ISPR. This is the second search operation carried out by the security forces in North Waziristan.
