KIGALI: Gianni Infantino from Switzerland has been re-elected as president of FIFA until 2027 after standing unopposed at the congress of world football’s governing body.
The 52-year-old was elected unopposed as FIFA president and will lead FIFA until 2027. He was elected unopposed at the 73rd FIFA Congress on March 16.
On this occasion, Gianni Infantino said that it is a great honor and responsibility, and they will continue to work for the development of FIFA.

He said that during the next 4 years, FIFA will have record income and more football matches will be held around the world.
Gianni Infantino said that from 2019 to 2022 FIFA’s income was 7.5 billion dollars and in the next 4 years we will reach to 11 billion dollars.
He was first elected president in 2016 to replace Sepp Blatter, who resigned as FIFA president over corruption allegations.
