Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply in certain areas of Karachi from 10PM tonight (Wednesday) to 6AM (Thursday) in the morning.

According to an SSGC spokesperson, gas supply in Karachi will be suspended due to the relocation of a 24-inch diameter pipeline near Jam Sadiq Bridge. The pipeline is being shifted to accommodate construction work for the BRT Yellow Line project.

The spokesperson said that the suspension will affect all phases of DHA, Defence View, and Akhtar Colony. Areas such as Azam Basti, Qayyumabad, and Clifton Blocks 3, 5, and 6 will also be affected.

In Karachi, gas supply suspensions are common due to maintenance and load management. Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) often announces gas holidays for industries and CNG stations, and sometimes for specific areas due to pipeline work or maintenance.
