ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that he did not know that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) could file a case against on a 7-year old child.
He was earlier today summoned by the NAB over Zardari Group Company.
While talking to media outside the court, the PPP chairman said that he was 7-years old when he was declared a shareholder of his father’s company.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also claimed that he was continuously being harassed by the NAB.
Bilawal Zardari blamed the incumbent government behind all the intrigue against him. The government had indulged in taking political revenge rather than focusing on the root issues of the country, he said.
They were taking revenge through accountability institutions, he added.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is accused of withdrawing Rs 1.22 billion from the fake account for his private company. He has been summoned for the fourth time by NAB since December.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was also probed for JV-Opal-225, a joint venture of Zardari Group Ltd. Billions of rupees were transferred to the company’s accounts via fake bank accounts. The company took out loans of billions of rupees from the banks.
