QUETTA: Protesters have staged a sit-in in Turbat for the last two days seeking justice for a child who was allegedly killed by police two days ago.
A 10-year-old child was killed allegedly by the police in Bulaida area of district Kech in Balochistan. The child Ramiz Khalil was the nephew of Zareef Rind, the chairman of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO).
His family has staged a sit-in with the child’s body at the Shaheed Fida Chowk in Turbat. Zareef Rind has vowed to take the body to Quetta and protest in front of the Chief Minister’s house. “Arrest the policemen and their backers within 24 hours or we will march towards Quetta,” Rind tweeted.
Ramiz’s younger brother, 8-year-old Rehan was also reportedly injured while their father, Khaleel Rind, was arrested. Zareef Rind told a local daily that Khaleel had no FIR against him and they are unable to understand why police ha arrested him.
