The Sindh government has recommended a ban on motorcycle pillion riding as part of security measures for the observance of Chehlum 1448 AH.
According to an official communication, all divisional commissioners in the province have been asked, at the request of the Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police, to take appropriate action under Section 144 within their respective jurisdictions.
The communication states that the recommendation has been made to maintain law and order and address security concerns during Chehlum processions and related events.

The restrictions will come into effect only after the relevant district administrations and commissioners issue formal notifications under Section 144.
