KARACHI: The Sindh government has banned smoking publically in local buses throughout province.
It was confirmed by the Sindh transport minister Awais Qadir Shah, in a statement where he said that moreover, there would be a ban over overloading passengers more than their capacity.
The passengers in the issued statement have also been advised to avoid interactions and not to shake hands.
The owners of the bus are advised to keep hand sanitizers in buses, and strictly follow the steps. Severe actions would be taken against the owners of any of them who did not follow the rules.
Moreover earlier today, the Sindh government urged the employees to avoid handshakes at workplaces. They should refrain from coming into close contact with each other during the office work especially avoiding handshakes, the government advised.
The government also urged the citizens to avoid going in crowded areas as the country’s coronavirus tally had recently jumped to 28 patients on Friday.
Pakistan has recently confirmed another case of the coronavirus in Islamabad, bringing the total number of cases to 29.
