KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentary leader in the Senate Sherry Rehman has said that we need to protect the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) crew as they are also on the frontline battling against COVID-19.
Sherry Rehman took to Twitter and wrote, “In emergencies, we need to protect our frontline, which other than doctors, nurses, paramedics includes the PIA crew that are flying quarantine flights without any protection.”
In emergencies we need to protect our frontline, which other than doctors, nurses, paramedics includes the @Official_PIA crew that are flying quarantine flights without any protection! They must not be exposed to infection for doing their jobs in times or extreme crisis.

She further wrote that among doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, the PIA crew members must not be exposed to infection for doing their jobs in times of extreme crises.
She earlier last month, termed the Prime Minister’s ‘Tiger force’ a bad idea. Rehman claimed that the system of party-based volunteers called Tigers for fund-distribution was a disastrous idea.
She added that Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again fallen back on overseas Pakistanis for donations to combat coronavirus outbreak in the country.
